Peace
of mind
At
Nanny Search we adhere to the proposals for a voluntary code of conduct
for agencies issued by the Department of Trade and Industry. We also work
alongside PANN (the Professional Association of Nursery Nurses) in their
campaign to have all child carers registered along the lines that childminders
and nurses currently are. We also follow the guidelines issued by the REC
(recruitment and employment confederation) for your added peace of mind.
Of course the greatest security comes from knowing that all the candidates
put forward by Nanny Search have been through an extensive screening procedure.
This screening procedure begins with a thorough personal interview by one
of our senior consultants and includes the following checks:
Proof of identity and address
Sighting of original documents, such as certificates and diplomas.
Driving license check.
Sighting of references and C.V.
Personal Health declaration
Criminal Record declaration.
Proof of Police Check
Next
we scrutinise the information in the candidate's curriculum vitae looking
for gaps and discrepancies. During the interview we appraise the candidate
for such qualities as motivation and professionalism and also ask her specific
questions designed to reveal her views on discipline and her ability to
cope in an emergency. We
also look for evidence of a caring and loving nature. After the interview
we contact the relevant examining bodies to verify the candidate's qualifications.
We then speak to her former employers to verify her references and to build
a fuller picture of the candidate's suitability. We request written references
where not previously available.
Once
we are happy that the candidate meets all our criteria, we produce a profile
and an evaluation along with a checklist of verified documents and a typescript
of our verbal verification of the candidate's references.
She
is now ready to be interviewed by you.
